Darwin Núñez is genuinely a pretty good card, and I think people might underrate him a little because of the usual “clunky striker” expectations they have when they see a physical CF profile.

Usually, with these taller physical Goal Poachers, you either get the aerial threat or decent movement, but not both together. Darwin actually balances things fairly well. He can hold off defenders, run aggressively into spaces, and still feel usable while dribbling or carrying the ball forward.

For a striker with this kind of physicality and aerial ability, having speed and acceleration both comfortably in that high range is a positive. Once he starts running in behind, defenders really struggle to catch him. He makes very good runs into the box, and with his height, jumping, physical contact, and aerial skills combined, crossing becomes a very legitimate attacking option.

What also helps is that he doesn’t completely fall apart technically. The dribbling and ball control aren’t all great, obviously, but they’re decent enough for his profile. With Sole Control added, the touches feel cleaner.

Now, coming to the weaknesses, the biggest one is definitely the weak foot. His weak-foot shooting really isn’t reliable. On his strong foot, he can finish consistently, but once the angle forces him onto the weaker side, the quality drops noticeably. Overall, he’s not the smoothest striker in the game, but for the profile he offers, this card performs really well.
